seventy seven gestures for hiroshima

this piece commemorates the seventy-seventh anniversary of Hiroshima

​

The piece consists of 77 physical interactions with a digital piano controlled through a usb controller and a handmade synth

three improvisations (2022)

this constituted part of my research project into the nature of hierarchies and unpaid labour within free improvisation. the improvisations where livestreamed on Youtube and designed to be audience led. the intention was to allow audances access to membership of the group 'free improvisors.'

rgb (2021-2022)

this proposed installation for three films and three sound sources is designed to allow for a non-hirarchial, audience led model of meaning making.

cuidus contrarium verum est: a life of christine the astonishing (2021)

this seven part examination of the life of a female mystic questioned the ways in which we think of women's agency, mental illness and neuro-atypicality. the model used seeks to mimic the act of reading a text.

this nine hour piece models the nine hours of the medieval liturgical day.
